On being enrolled, any cadet in the ATC is eligible for Air Experience Gliding [AEG]. As in flying, the cadet will get a chance to fly a glider, and help out with its launch. All AEG is done at the closest Voluntary Gliding school [VGS].

INITIAL GLIDING TRAINING [IGT]
This is open to any 1st Class cadet who is over fourteen years of age. The course concentrates on teaching cadets the basics of glider flying, and familiarizing them with the controls. On completing the course to the instructor's satisfaction, the cadet will recive his IGT wings, which are worn on the right shoulder of the jumper.

BASIC GLIDING TRAINING [BGT]
This is open to any Leading Cadet who is over sixteen years of age. The course covers more advanced flying techniques such as launching and landing. At the end of the course the cadet must fly a circuit solo without their instructor. On completion of this solo flight, the cadet receives their BGT wings, which are worn on the right shoulder of the uniform jumper.
ADVANCED GLIDING TRAINING [AGT]
This course is split into two sections, and is only open to cadets holding BGT wings. Phase one cover more techniques such as soaring, crosswind landings, and more complicated stalls and spins. The course is concluded by five solo flights. In phase two, a CGS [Central Gliding School] instructor assesses candidates.
